Stainless steel composite plate

Lower cost, higher cost-performance ratio
Stronger impact resistance
Better flatness, better overall appearance

Stainless steel is considered a modern and high-tech metallic material. Over a century after its discovery and invention, it has been improved and developed, and is now widely used in various fields such as construction, transportation, navigation, aerospace, military, and daily life. In the end applications of stainless steel, sheets/coils account for over 70%. In the construction sector, the proportion of sheet/coil usage exceeds 90%. However, stainless steel is expensive due to its content of precious metals such as chromium and nickel. To maintain its physical properties, the thickness of stainless steel sheets cannot be reduced, so cost constraints often lead to unsatisfactory cost-effectiveness in end applications. Stainless steel composite panels were developed against this backdrop.

It consists of stainless steel material with a thickness of 0.3-0.4 mm on both the front and back, with polyethylene plastic in the middle, resulting in a total thickness of 4-6 mm. The bonding of stainless steel and polyethylene utilizes molecular-level adhesion in the composite material. Furthermore, after precise bonding on a high-temperature continuous composite line, the entire panel forms a strong, unified whole.

The advantages of this type of composite panel are numerous: Firstly, it significantly reduces costs. The mechanical properties of a 4mm stainless steel composite panel are equivalent to those of a 3mm stainless steel veneer, yet the cost is only half. Secondly, due to the mineral raw materials acting as a buffer, stainless steel composite panels are better able to withstand external impacts than ordinary stainless steel veneers during machining or installation. Most importantly, in its primary application area—building curtain walls—stainless steel composite panels offer significantly better flatness and integrity than stainless steel veneers.
